The Ikon is for true racers looking for a true lightweight race tyre.
With 3C Triple Compound Technology, high-volume casing and a fast rolling tread design, the Ikon provides exemplary performance in all riding conditions. As its name suggests, the Ikon represents all that is true in racing.
Features a hard base layer combined with softer outer layers to optimise traction and extend tread life.
An extremely cut resistant and abrasion resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain bike tyres. This densely woven material is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected.
Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. The square bead profile of our TR tyres is designed to work with the broad range of tubeless rims available on the market today. Our TR tyres use a special construction which allows the use of liquid sealants to make them airtight and to help prevent punctures. If needed, Maxxis TR tyres can also be used with an inner tube.
