The Merida Big Nine 100 is an entry-level mountain bike for riders of all ages that are looking at getting into the sport for fun or fitness. Equipped with the 2019 RaceLite 6061 Aluminium frame which is a lighter and more advanced frame than previous years. The frame is lighter, yet stiffer because of additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thickness. This means that you get a quality frame at an affordable price. The Big Nine 100 has 29” wheels and a suspension fork from SR Suntour which offers 100mm of travel to smooth the bumps on the trail and this is ideal for riding more efficiently on smooth surfaces as well as climbing out of the saddle. If you are riding on smoother terrain and want to conserve some energy, the fork lock out feature can be accessed simply from the top of the fork leg.

It is also equipped with Shimano disc brakes for reliability regardless of the conditions and improved control.
